Protestants for the Common Good takes the position that it is best to
think before advocating and acting, especially when relating faith to
political and public life. We encourage individuals to ask:
- how faith should relate to politics generally;
- how their religious beliefs relate to particular policy issues,
knowing what their religious traditions teach about these issues and
the dimensions of the public policies being addressed.
In order to meet its commitment to provide faithful citizens the
educational opportunities that will inform their advocacy and action,
Protestants for the Common Good offers an array of educational
programs:
Courses on Faith and Critical Issues, a
listing of courses (single and multi-session) that PCG staff is
prepared to lead in congregations and organizations. Click here for more information.
Programs on Special Topics, led by members of the PCG staff. Call for
information.
Faith and the Metropolitan Challenge Curriculum, a six-session series introducing
the broad issues that are central to relating faith to politics and public life.
