Protestants for the Common Good welcomes opportunities to talk with people of faith about the intersection of faith and public life.
“and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
The prophet Micah proclaims that faithful living encompasses three distinct, but inter-connected, dimensions of faithful living. The call to “do justice” points out the social, or public, dimension while the mandate to “love kindness” focuses on the personal and interpersonal. In both, we are to “walk humbly with God,” i.e., accept God’s guidance for both the public and personal aspects of our lives.
Therefore, PCG offers an array of educational programs that will inform and stimulate people of faith to take action on social justice matters.
“Man’s capacity for justice makes democracy possible; but man’s inclination to injustice makes democracy necessary.”
